Meet Our Staff

Erin McLoughlin, Ed.S., BCBA

Erin McLoughlin received her undergraduate and master’s degrees from Boston College, where she studied Elementary and Severe Special Needs Education. She then completed graduate coursework at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, where she worked as an intern studying early childhood language interventions. Erin received an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Simmons College, where she currently is pursuing her Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis. Erin is a licensed elementary and severe special needs teacher, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Erin has an extensive and diverse background of experience. She worked for six years as a special education and inclusion teacher with children in grades 1-5. Erin also has worked with young children with disabilities in a variety of roles: she has taught in an integrated preschool program; served as an interventionist in a language intervention program; and provided behavior therapy in a home-based program for children with autism.

In addition to her special education and teaching experience, Erin is an Irish step teacher, marathon runner, fitness enthusiast, and studying to become a certified personal trainer. Over the past 4 years Erin has taught Irish step to over 100 students, with and without disabilities, in their after school program. She strongly believes the movement, music, and pure enjoyment of dance allow all children to reach new levels of success and realized potential. Drawing on this passion, and also her commitment to fitness and athletics, Erin combines behavior analytic strategies with fitness and physical activity to promote healthy living for children and adults. See the Services page to learn more about this type of programming offered at Coastal Behavioral Consulting.
